Can the Warriors contend with a powerhouse Pride team?
The high school senior boys Div. 1 football city finals are set after a dominant Notre Dame Pride team had no problems with Bishop O'Byrne during their 59-0 semi-final victory on Nov. 6.
Meanwhile, the Henry Wise Wood Warriors won a hard-fought, physical battle with long-time rival the St. Francis Browns 21-13. The two teams will now play in the city's final on Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. on Hellard field at Shouldice park.

Despite a majority of pro lacrosse teams, Alberta has few pro players
For a province that has two of the National Lacrosse League's (NLL) three Canadian teams, you'd think that Alberta would be home to many of the top players in the world of professional box lacrosse. But an exclusive analysis conducted by the Calgary Journal has revealed only 13 of the leagues 182 active Canadian players from last year's rosters came from wild rose country — a miniscule 7.1 percent.

Local company hopes to share their experience with others
Owner and creator of Park Tek, Matt Neufeld, says the company aims to promote the sport of longboarding because of the powerful experience that it can provide.
Neufeld says Park Tek, which creates custom longboards to fit an individual's height, weight and even preferred style of riding, would like to make the sport more accessible to others by making its products affordable and available to everyone.
